Library Service Review: Community feedback report now available

Thank you to everyone who took the time to provide feedback on the Clarence Regional Library Service Review. We received more than 500 responses from across the Clarence Valley, giving us valuable insights into how our libraries are used and where improvements can be made.

Overall, respondents showed strong support for library services, with 95% saying libraries are important to the community and 93% reporting they were satisfied with the services provided. To view the community feedback report Click here.

The feedback highlighted opportunities to strengthen community connection, expand programs and events, improve access to collections and eBooks, enhance digital services, and continue supporting lifelong learning. Respondents also recognised the important role libraries play as welcoming community spaces.

ABOUT THE PROJECT, what we asked:

Councils in NSW are required to review their services to ensure they remain relevant, effective and efficient for the community. From November 2025 – May 2026 we are planning, gathering data, evaluating and providing recommendations in relation to our library services.

Our public libraries are delivered under the Clarence Regional Library, a partnership with Bellingen Shire Council to deliver a shared library service to increase collection and cost savings.

More information about the project can be found in the important links.
