Clarence Valley Council is developing a policy that will guide Council business on Aboriginal Cultural Heritage and Native Title matters.

Council is committed to working with Aboriginal custodians and Native Title holders within the council area to protect places of cultural significance, and to addressing Aboriginal cultural heritage and Native Title matters in its strategic, corporate and operational decision-making processes.

Council acknowledges the Bundjalung, Gumbaingirr and Yaegl people as the traditional owners and
custodians of the lands and waters that lie within the Clarence Valley Council boundaries.

Council values community engagement and is seeking your feedback. Please submit your feedback to council@clarence.nsw.gov.au no later than 4pm on Monday the 13th August.
