Pacific Highway, 5th of January 2019 (late afternoon)

by Daimo, 9 months ago

I saw several coastal emus in a treeless paddock, close to the new bypass 5th of January 2019 (late afternoon). There's no wildlife friendly fencing or underpasses for them to access the river under the current Pacific Highway route. I hope the same can't be said when the new bypass is "complete".

I hope farm dogs have a limited ability to roam on those private properties too.

Regards,

Damian

Hi DamianThanks for your story submitted to the coastal emu register. I have been unable to convert your story to a mapped sighting as I am lacking information regarding location of the emu and other demographic questions that is needed. We encourage people to submit any coastal emu sightings, however please do so by dragging and dropping a pin to the map in the first tab of the page (or heading directly to https://www.clarenceconversations.com.au/coastalemus/maps/coastalemus ). If you need further assistance in doing so, please do not hesitate to get in touch.Regards, Caragh Heenan (Clarence Valley Council)
