Sighting - 13th December 2018

Driving home from Maclean to Grafton this afternoon. I sighted a Coastal Emu grazing on farm land on the corner of Gallaghers Lane and the Pacific Highway. As I was driving with vehicles behind me it was not possible to pull over and take a photo, but it was a combination of a lovely site and a bit frightening as the Emu was close to road works on one side and close to the highway on the other side. Am hoping that his/her range is a regular route and no harms comes his/her way. The time of the sighting was 3.30pm. 13th December 2018.
