Consultation has concluded

Corcoran Park – a beautiful park nestled on the Clarence River - is home to some of the valley's water sports and is utilised by a number of groups in the community.

It features boat ramps and jetties and is a great location for fishing enthusiasts. Water sport activities including canoeing, swimming and yachting are popular and the barbecues and shade shelters provide a great location for private parties.

The construction of the new Grafton bridge has prompted the Clarence River Sailing Club to look for a new site, and it is considering co-locating in Corcoran Park. Council has agreed to consider the request and is seeking feedback from the community to help develop a master plan for the park with input from all users. We want to hear from you!

As a starting point, a draft plan was created in 2012. Download the Landscape Concept Plan and complete our questionnaire. Tell us what's important to you and what elements you would like to see included in the master plan design.

The Clarence River Sailing Club is currently located at Salty Seller Reserve. However, the new Grafton Bridge currently under construction will obstruct their sailing course and club activities.

There is a proposal to relocate the sailing club to the northern end of Corcoran Park, adjacent to the yacht club.

Is the proposed location the best spot for the sailing club?
