The Clarence Valley community has told us that public art is important to you as part of our Cultural Plan in 2018. The art at the Grafton Bridges Precinct was of particular note. Council is working to protect and encourage public art, while considering the significant built heritage and safety of the artists and community.

We are working to contribute to the precinct including:

  • Welcome Words - a mural on each side of the bridge in Gumbaynggirr and Bundjalung languages
  • Artists in Residence - nationally renowned artists to contribute to public art in the Precinct
  • Light Up the Bridge - Projection Art
  • Public art in the area including Pound Street down to the Grafton Library
  • Community events.

First we want to know how you feel about the space.

Do you have any ideas for the future of the Grafton Bridge precinct?

Do you have concerns about the existing use of the area?

Tell us what you think!
