Ngayundi Sports Complex - User Committees

Welcome to the hub for all discussions about the management and operation of the Ngayundi Sports Complex. This is a closed online engagement space where regular users of the complex, located on Yaegl Country at Yamba; can connect. The Yaegl People have a long sporting history and love of sport in the Lower Clarence; and are the Traditional Owners of this space.

As a result of COVID-19 situation, Council is looking at ways to continue to host meetings with our various sports committees in the Upper and Lower Clarence. We are encouraging you to use this portal to engage on behalf of your sporting club.

Please take a few seconds and listen to this heartfelt welcome to members and visitors from Uncle Michael Laurie, a Yaegl Traditional Owner. The Raymond Laurie Sports Centre is proudly named after Uncle Michael's late father. Ngayundi is a Yaegl word for 'all of us - ours and yours'.

Ngayundi is used all year round, by many sporting groups/events. Council have dedicated staff that keep this complex in top condition. Council is always looking for opportunities to move the master plan to its 'next stage'. Having the different sporting committees linked to this engagement portal will help create a bigger sporting community and therefore a better community asset.

To the right, you'll find relevant information to check out when you get a chance. If you have any suggestions on what other information you'd like to access, just flick me an email and I'll add it.

Below you’ll find opportunities to put your thoughts 'out there', fill in the short survey, start a forum, or if you have an idea, just pop it in the ideas tab, links for bookings, reporting problems and grant information in one place. Your feedback is important to us for reviewing and planing for upcoming activities/events, thereby making Ngayundi be best location to play sport in the Lower Clarence.

Complex Clean up: please check out tab on the right for next scheduled clean up details.

There is still some work to happen at the complex. The field improvements are getting closer but first we need to do a bit of a spring clean and activate a few of the ‘not so well used’ spaces.
