Consultation has concluded

Trenayr Park & Martin Crescent Reserve is a 16 hectare park located within Junction Hill. The parks features include large open grass areas one of which contains a concrete cricket wicket, pine tree screen planting, a walkway and drainage lines.

A review of Council’s discretionary services and land identified this park as being surplus to Council’s current open space requirements. Council has no intention to sell the land rather has investigated options to reduce maintenance cost. Staff together with a working group of adjacent land holders developed the a draft land management plan that works towards meeting this objective. The draft plan identifies 6 different use areas proposing a treatment and subsequent maintenance regime. These are outlined below;

Area
Use
Maintenance Frequency
(A)
Passive / active recreation
mown max 13 times annually
(B)
Asset protection / passive recreation
mown max 13 times annually
(C)

mown max 6 times annually
(D)

(E)

(F)

The draft plan also identifies facilities that could be constructed to increase use of the Park, these include off street car park, nets/half court, walk ways, and a play space.
