The community is invited to provide feedback on concept designs for improved walking, riding and wheeling connections in Yamba.
$120,000 in Get NSW Active funding has been secured to prepare detailed designs for a new pathway network linking Pippi Beach, Main Beach and CWA William Ager Park. This funding supports the design only and will help get the project ready for future construction.
The draft designs include more than two kilometres of new footpaths and shared user paths, along with safer crossing points, to improve access and safety in the Pippi Beach and Main Beach areas.
The proposed network follows Yamba Street, Pacific Parade, Ocean Street and Clarence Street, creating a continuous connection between both ends of the Ager Park Boardwalk. While the full network is not yet funded for delivery, some priority sections in Ager Park and at Pippi Beach have already received construction funding.

CWA William Ager Park
The Ager Park designs build on feedback received during earlier community consultation and include:
- A new pathway connecting Clarence Street to the accessible boardwalk platform
- An accessible toilet
- Accessible parking
- Removal of the existing arbour, subject to Development Application DA2025/0545 currently on public exhibition
Funding has been allocated to deliver the accessible toilet and the accessible pathway through Ager Park in 2026. The works will improve access to the boardwalk for people of all abilities. The works align and support the action of the Disability Inclusion Action Plan (DIAP) and will ensure the boardwalk is accessible for everybody.
Recent consultation at Ager Park focused on the playground equipment upgrade, which is being delivered as a separate project.

Pippi Beach
The Pippi Beach concept designs include:
- A shared user path
- Formalised parking
- A new viewing platform
- New seating
- A replacement stairway from street level to the reserve
Funding has already been allocated for the new viewing platform and replacement stairs at Pippi Beach.
These projects support actions in the Clarence Valley Active Transport Strategy 2024–2044 and help prepare priority projects so Council is well placed to apply for future construction funding.
