What's the difference between a local public holiday and a local event day?
A Local Public Holiday is recognised as a public holiday for employees working within the approved local government area.
A Local Event Day is not a public holiday. However, some employees may receive similar entitlements if their award or workplace agreement includes provisions for local event days.
