Clarence Valley Council (Council) recognises the importance of promoting sustainable economic development within the Lawrence community. As a result, the council is currently developing a new Lawrence Community Economic Development (CED) Plan to address the community's aspirations and objectives.

Through this process, Council are keen to involve as many community members and businesses as possible to collaboratively develop a future vision and roadmap for the community of Lawrence. This process is an opportunity to realise your ideas and ensure that we retain and enhance the things that people love about Lawrence, making it an even better place to live, work and play.

The CED plan aims to provide a comprehensive framework that outlines key strategies and initiatives to stimulate economic growth and enhance community well-being in the Lawrence area. The plan will be informed by extensive community consultation, including engagement with local businesses, industry groups, residents, and other key stakeholders.

Council is committed to working collaboratively with the community to ensure that the Lawrence CED Plan reflects the unique needs and aspirations of the Lawrence community.

    Council has drafted the Lawrence Community Economic Development Plan to guide future decision-making in the Lawrence area. This plan aims to promote economic growth and improve the well-being of the Lawrence community.

    The Lawrence Community Economic Development Plan has been created to provide guidance for future development in and around the township of Lawrence. This comprehensive framework will ensure that all stakeholders, including government, councils, businesses, and the community, are working together toward a shared vision that reflects their own ideas and aspirations.

    Council wants to hear from you to ensure that the strategy meets the needs of the Lawrence community.

    Submissions close 4pm Friday, 5 January 2024.
