Clarence Valley Council invites budding artists between the ages of 12 and 25 to submit an entry for the Youth Art Competition. This is an exciting opportunity for young artists to have their work featured in the Treelands Drive Community Hub at the Yamba Community Precinct. Winning entries will have a digital image of their artwork printed and displayed on the walls in the Youth Space.
The artwork must be relevant to the region, create local pride and contribute to the region’s sense of place. First Nations artists are encouraged to apply.
Competition details:
Submissions open on 18th March and close on 30th April 2024.Competition extended!! Submissions now close 14th May
Artwork to be a High-Resolution Digital Image.
The printed size of the image is approx. 4m long x 2.25m wide (excluding window width of 600mm).
Winners will be announced in June 2024.
Conditions of entry:
All artwork is to be the owner's original artwork.
The competition is open to young artists between the ages of 12 to 25.
All applications and images must be submitted through the application form below
Artists submitting entries in this competition consent to Clarence Valley Council displaying artwork and for media promotion of the Yamba Community Precinct.
All works must be deemed appropriate to be exhibited in a youth space.
To be eligible for judging, all images must be uploaded by 5pm, 30th April.
Prize
1st place
Artwork will be displayed as a feature wall in the new Yamba Community Precinct and a $70 art pack
2nd place
Artwork to be displayed in the new Yamba Community Precinct and a $50 art pack
3rd place
Artwork to be displayed in the new Yamba Community Precinct and a $30 art pack
